Meet Our Team
Candice Boyce, Owner & RDH
Candice started her career in the dental field as a registered dental assistant in 2002. Although she loved being a dental assistant, Candice knew that becoming a dental hygienist was always her goal.
In 2008 she attended the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene in Hamilton, Ontario and was registered with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta in 2010.
After moving back to Sherwood Park in 2010, she started her career as a dental hygienist and has been working in the area ever since.
Candice’s dream was always to become a independent dental hygiene practitioner and has been pursuing that goal since becoming a Dental Hygienist. After many years of planning and researching she has now been able to fulfill her dream and open Baseline Village Dental Hygiene.
Candice believes that everyone deserves optimal oral health and hopes to provide easier access to this in her community.
Amy Moore, RDH
Born and raised in Sherwood Park, Amy was inspired to become a dental hygienist at an early age when a family member started working in the dental field. She eventually job shadowed at a dental clinic and even spent a summer working in sterilization at a dental clinic after high school. The more she learned about dental hygiene, the more she loved.
Amy studied dental hygiene at the University of Alberta. Early on in her education she learned that dental hygienists had the ability to practice independently and knew that was what she wanted to do. During her time in the dental hygiene program Amy became very passionate about giving back to the community by volunteering her time and skills to those who do not have access to dental care. For the final year of her program she completed an advanced practicum in community care, providing dental hygiene services and education in such locations as continuing care homes, hospital settings, and the Edmonton Remand Centre as well as working with community groups such as Autism Edmonton and the Multicultural Health Brokers. She has volunteered at Homeless Connect, spent many Saturday’s at the inner city Shine Dental Clinic both as a student and a preceptor, and even travelled to Nicaragua to provide dental hygiene care on a mission trip.
Amy strongly believes that oral health is an important component of one’s overall health which everyone deserves access to. She looks forward to sharing her passion and skills with her community.
Jessica Yu, RDH
Jessica was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Ever since childhood, she knew that she wanted a profession in the dental field, mainly due to all the pleasant dental experiences she had as a child. She graduated from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene BSc program in 2006.
Jessica strives to ensure her clients are comfortable during their visit. To her, there is nothing more gratifying than educating and helping clients overcome their dental fears. Her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is not only helping her clients be proactive in their own oral and overall health, but the relationships and trust that she develops with them.
In her free time, she loves to travel, try out the newest restaurants, and most of all spend quality time with her husband and two kids.
